Thank you for visiting Middle Bay Portuguese Water Dogs. Our kennel name was inspired by the Middle Bay Lighthouse that was built in 1885. Decommissioned now, the Middle Bay lighthouse has stood in Mobile Bay through hurricane after hurricane. She is a day maker now for fishermen and sailors. The strength of this lighthouse reminds me of the Portuguese Water Dog. Like the lighthouse, this breed is very old and has survived near extinction.

We have 2 Portuguese Water Dogs: Juju, Ch. Ferncliff Jubilee, CGC, JWC and Gypsea, Mountain Shores Jolly Jubilee, CGC, AWD. Our fist PWD was Marley, Ch. Jolly Mariner of Bella Luna, CGC, WWD (2000-2010). You will learn more about the breed and our PWD family as you explore the website.
